Kikosi cha wachezaji 22 wa timu ya Tanzania, Taifa Stars, jana Alhamisi kiliondoka nchini kuelekea Afrika Kusini kwa ajili ya kushiriki michuano ya kuwania Kombe la Castle Cosafa.

Taifa Stars iliyokuwa kambini tangu Juni 18 jijini Dar, itashiriki michuano hiyo inayoandaliwa na Baraza la Soka la Nchi za Kusini mwa Afrika (Cosafa) kwa mwaliko maalum kwa kuwa Tanzania si mwanachama ambapo michuano hiyo itaanza keshokutwa Jumapili.

Stars ipo Kundi A ikiwa na timu za Mauritius, Malawi na Angola wakati Kundi B ni Msumbiji, Shelisheli, Madagascar na Zimbabwe. Timu za Botswana, Zambia na Afrika Kusini kadhalika Namibia, Lesotho na Swaziland zitakuwa na mechi maalumu (play off) ili kuingia robo fainali.

Kocha Mkuu wa Taifa Stars, Salum Mayanga alisema kuwa wanaenda kushindana na siyo kushiriki katika michuano hiyo, alitangaza kikosi kilichoondoka kuwa ni makipa Aishi Salum Manula (Azam FC), Benno David Kakolanya  (Yanga) na Said Mohammed Said (Mtibwa Sugar).

Walinzi ni Shomari Salum Kapombe (Azam FC), Hassan Hamis Ramadhan ‘Kessy’ (Yanga), Gadiel Michael (Azam FC), Amim Abdulkarim (Toto).

Wengine ni Erasto Nyoni (Azam FC), Salim Hassan Abdallah (Mtibwa), Abdi Banda (Simba) na Nurdin Chona (Prisons).

Viungo ni Himid Mao (Azam FC), Salmin Hoza (Mbao FC), Mzamiru Yassin (Simba), Simon Msuva (Yanga), Raphael Daudi (Mbeya City) na Shizza Kichuya (Simba SC).


Washambuliaji Thomas Ulimwengu (AFC Eskilstuna, Sweden), Mbaraka Yusuph (Kagera), Stamili Mbonde, Elias Maguli (Dhofar SC) na Shabani Idd Chilunda (Azam FC).
